Overview of SkyBook Sportsbook

skybook

SkyBook was founded just over two decades ago, back in 1999. It’s licensed and regulated in Curacao, it offers a casino alongside its sportsbook – but it isn’t available to U.S. players.

Owned and operated by the AffCorner brand of betting sites, SkyBook uses the Amigo Techs software to run its website and games. It’s available in specific countries only, but because these countries aren’t listed on its website, it’s entirely up to you to test out whether SkyBook will accept you or not.

Things To Consider Before Signing Up

Before you sign up to any betting site, there are a few things you need to consider first:

  • Reputation – If a sportsbook has a good reputation on Google and among current customers, it’s a surefire sign that it’s a brand you can trust
  • Promos – Possible promos include a sign-up offer, reload bonuses, free bets, and casino rebates
  • User interface – A good sports betting site should sport a clean, intuitive, and easy-to-navigate user interface
  • Sports variety – Make sure your preferred sports are offered before you sign up
  • Casino – The best casinos offer a great variety of games, bonuses, and exciting gameplay
  • Payment options – Check to see if the site offers your preferred payment method and whether there are any fees

SkyBook Sportsbook Broken Down: What’s It Got?

Sports Variety

SkyBook is definitely focused on American sports, as it covers all the major ones but very little niche sports, or those that are popular in Europe. During my research, the likes of cricket, snooker, and even rugby were all missing.

That will disappoint bettors who specialize in certain sports, but the overall sports variety at SportsBook is “okay.”

Here is a complete list of the sports they offer:

  • American football
  • College football
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • College basketball
  • Hockey
  • Soccer
  • Tennis
  • Golf
  • Boxing
  • MMA
  • Motorsports

eSports

eSports is offered here but it’s super limited. In fact, the only eSports tournament offered is CS:GO. It’s easy to access (all you need to do is click ‘eSports’ in the left-hand column and a dropdown menu appears), but there aren’t many markets available.

Live Betting

SkyBook offers live betting options – but their selection appears to be very limited. There are markets available for soccer, MLB, WNBA, NBA, NFL, and NCAA football but not much (if anything else).

Of course, they may offer more sporting events and markets when they become available, but compared to rival sites, SkyBook fare below average when in-play betting is concerned. Moreover, there is no in-play data.

Casino

One thing SkyBook does very well is its casino.

In fact, it has three casinos, and these include a live casino.

There is a wide selection of table games available, and these are spread out across the old casino and the new one. Table games include Pontoon, Blackjack Surrender, and Baccarat. The stakes are decent, with limits ranging from a dollar to $250. As such, it’s clear that the SkyBook casino is more aimed at the recreational gambler.

Video poker is available too, with games including Tens or Better, Joker Poker, and Deuces Wild. Stakes range from $0.05 to $25, which isn’t bad, but there are certainly higher limits available at other sites.

The graphics are good across the whole casino – they’re modern, colorful, and really add something to the experience.

Payment Options

SkyBook does very well on the payment options front, and most bettors should be able to find their preferred method.

For deposits, you can choose from the following:
  • Visa

  • MasterCard

  • QB Direct

  • Instant Voucher

  • Ria Money Transfer

  • Money Order

  • Bitcoin

  • LiteCoin

  • Checks

For withdrawals, you’ve got the following options:
  • Check

  • Bitcoin

  • Person to Person

Withdrawal options are limited, then, and unless you choose Bitcoin, you will be waiting a while to collect your winnings.

Bonuses and Promotions

SkyBook offers a good number of promos:

  • Sign up bonus – New players who deposit $200 or more get access to a 150% free play bonus. Alternatively, you could deposit $300 and get a 100% cash bonus, or $100+ and get a 50% free play bonus.
  • Free Half Point – To grab a half-point on NBA and NFL regular-season games, you have to place your bet over the telephone
  • Refer-a-Friend – If you refer a friend and they sign up via your link and make a first deposit, you get a 25% free play bonus based on their first deposit
  • Casino sign-up bonus – New players are entitled to a sign-up bonus of up to 175%. How much you get depends on how much you deposit but the maximum bonus about is $500

SkyBook Review: Final Verdict

Thank you for reading my SkyBook review.

SkyBook is by no means the absolute best sports betting site available. Withdrawal fees, a real lack of sports variety, and average customer service will definitely frustrate some bettors.

However, the casino is one of the best around, so if you’re a recreational sports bettor who loves spending time in an online casino too, it might be worth a closer look.
