Rivalo is a South American sportsbook that offers live betting opportunities, as well as a live casino. Virtual sports are available, too, as well as a healthy amount of promotions. But I get it - choosing your next sportsbook is never easy, especially in a world where finding a trustworthy betting site is getting harder and harder. This is why I created this Rivalo review - to help you make a better, more informed decision. I’ll be taking a look at Rivalo’s pros and cons, as well as its key features, including sports variety, user interface, and casino. Ready? Let’s make a start.
Pros
  • Great soccer coverage
  • Lots of markets and lines
  • Competitive odds
Cons
  • The website takes too long to load initially.

Overview of Rivalo Sportsbook

Rivalo Sportsbook Review: Odds, Casino & More

Rivalo is still a fairly new sportsbook. It was launched in Brazil in 2013 and is licensed in Curacao.

Despite its relative newness, as well as the fact that it’s largely aimed at Latin American bettors (U.S. players aren’t allowed), it’s growing all the time. It uses award-winning software, it’s mobile compatible, and customer service is good.

Things To Consider Before Signing Up

Before you sign up for any betting site, there are a few things you need to take into consideration:

  • Welcome bonus – A good sign up bonus kick starts your betting career
  • User interface – A good sportsbook should be clean, easy-to-navigate and fast loading
  • Casino – Check to see if there’s a good selection of games and bonuses
  • Banking options – Does the site have your preferred payment method?
  • Sports variety – Does the site have your preferred sporting events?
  • Customer support – The best sportsbooks offer 24/7 chat, as well as email and telephone support

Rivalo Sportsbook Broken Down: What’s It Got?

Rivalo’s coverage is wide-ranging. The usual suspects are, of course, here (such as soccer, American Football, baseball, basketball, and hockey), but Rivalo does very well when it comes to niche ones, too. They offer markets for cricket, rugby, MMA, darts, and more.

In fact, there are 24 different types you can bet on:

  • Soccer
  • Basketball
  • Tennis
  • Volleyball
  • Ice hockey
  • American Football
  • Formula 1
  • Snooker
  • Table tennis
  • Darts
  • Baseball
  • Futsal
  • Aussie Rules
  • Rugby
  • Cricket
  • Floorball
  • MMA
  • Handball
  • Badminton
  • Boxing
  • Cycling
  • Alpine Skiing
  • Cross-Country
  • Biathlon

You can also bet on politics.

eSports

eSports are available at Rivalo. However, the only titles available are Dota, League of Legends, and Counter-Strike.

There are, however, numerous markets available for each one, with 42 markets currently offered for Counter-Strike alone.

Odds and Markets

Betting options are vast at Rivalo, both in terms of lines and markets. Rivalo covers a huge amount of leagues and sporting events for all the major ones, and they offer a massive amount of lines. For instance, in soccer matches, you can bet on everything from handicaps, over/under, both teams to score, second-half winners, half-time/full-time, and so on.

Odds-wise, Rivalo is competitive with rivals, and there’s a lot of value to be had here. This is surprising since Rivalo is still a relatively new site, but it’s definitely a good thing.

Live Betting

In-play betting is available at Rivalo. You can access it by clicking on the ‘Live Betting’ tab at the top of the homepage. This will direct you to a new page that lists all the current live sporting events.

The in-play betting interface takes some time to get used to at first, but it’s one of the best things about this site. All you need to do is scroll down to find your preferred sport/league/event, and you can just click on a particular match to take a closer look at the lines. Doing so doesn’t take you to a new window but instead creates a drop-down menu.

Odds are updated quickly, the current scores are clearly laid out, but there is no in-play data or statistics. There is also no live streaming.

Casino

Rivalo has a casino and a live casino. However, both of them seem to be a bit of an afterthought compared to the sportsbook. The likes of NetEnt provide slots, the user interface is good, and the graphics and gameplay are also good… but there aren’t as many games as I’d like.

There are around slots, classic casino games, and progressive jackpot games – but not much else.

Payment Options

Rivalo provides an array of banking options. These include the usual, such as Visa, MasterCard, PaySafeCard, Skrill, Neteller and bank transfer, as well as more unusual options, including EcoCard. Bitcoin is available, too.

The minimum deposit is €10, and the maximum daily deposit is €5,000. There are also withdrawal fees, so make sure to check what these are before you withdraw your winnings.

Bonuses and Promotions

  • Welcome bonus – Rivalo let new players get started with a risk-free sign-up bonus of up to $100. This is a 100% match deposit bonus when you make your first deposit
  • Free spins  – When you sign up to the casino, you get a 100% sign up bonus plus 100 free spins
  • Combi bonus – If you place a combination bet that consists of 5 or more selections and the bet wins, you’ll be eligible for an extra 25% on top of your winnings
  • VIP program – As well as their bonuses, Rivalo has a VIP program that rewards you with extra perks, such as free spins. This program is invite-only, and you can only move through the program by making deposits and placing wagers

What Are Others Saying About Rivalo Sportsbook?

For the sake of fairness and transparency, I like to take a look at what others are saying about the sportsbooks I review.

Where Rivalo is concerned, opinion is divided. An area of concern lies with the withdrawal process, with some claiming that it’s “painful.”

Rivalo Sportsbook FAQ: Your Questions Answered

Live chat is available as part of the customer service, and you can also use an online form located on the website to send them your questions.

However, neither email nor telephone support seems to be available.

Rivalo is not available to U.S. players. It’s a South American-based betting site that’s also available to some European gamblers, including those living in Switzerland, Turkey, and Finland.

Rivalo is largely aimed at recreational bettors and does impose limits on your stakes.

Rival Sportsbook: Final Verdict

Thank you for reading my Rivalo review.

Rivalo Sportsbook definitely has its pros and cons. It’s great for soccer betting in particular, there are a huge amount of lines and markets, and the website is, in general, very easy to use. For South American sports bettors who are looking for a trustworthy and reliable sportsbook, it’s an easy, safe option to recommend.
