Overview of BetNow Sportsbook

BetNow Sportsbook Review 2020

BetNow is primarily focused on the U.S. sports markets. It has been around for just over five years and has established itself as a go-to site for many sports bettors who enjoy great parlays and teasers.

Payment methods are varied, and although the site is U.S.-focused, it’s based offshore in Curacao. Worldwide players are accepted alongside American-based bettors, and a VIP scheme is open to all.

As a relatively new site, BetNow, however, is still finding its feet. Soon, we’ll be taking a look at what it does right and what it could improve on. But first, let’s check out what you should consider before signing up.

Things To Consider Before Signing Up To A Sports Betting Site

Before you take the plunge and sign up to any sports betting site, you should, first of all, take a look at the welcome bonus. An attractive welcome offer (which comes in many shapes and sizes) is a great way to kickstart your time at any betting site. A sizable bonus not only makes you feel good, but it also gives you a risk-free bet right from the get-go.

Then, take a look at subsequent bonuses and promotions that a betting site offers. Some sites, for example, offer frequent free bets to regular gamblers. These enhance your stay at a betting site and help you to win a bit more cash when you perhaps don’t want to risk too much of your own money. See if there is a VIP scheme, also.

Other things to consider are the sports variety. Ideally, you want a betting site that covers your preferred sports, as well as more niche sports that you can dip in and out of. Take a look at the markets and odds, too. Are they competitive? Is there value to be found? See what kind of lines, teasers, and parlays are offered as well. Some sites do better than others on this.

Most sports bettors will also want to see if a betting site offers casino and poker opportunities alongside the sportsbook.

BetNow Broken Down: What’s It Got?

Sports You Can Wager On

The most prominent feature of any betting site is its sports markets.

BetNow is very heavily focused on U.S. sports. All the most significant American sports and leagues are here, from the MLB to the NHL, and there’s also an excellent betting menu for the minor league sports.

You can also create prop bets for the likes of the NBA, NCAAF, NFL, and so on.

However, BetNow isn’t the most comprehensive when it comes to non-American sports. Overall, its selection of sports is limited, especially when compared to rival sites. Moreover, instead of offering worldwide basketball betting opportunities, BetNow restricts its basketball to just the NBA.

Here’s a list of the sports and franchises you can wager on:

  • NFL
  • NCAAF
  • NCAAB
  • NHL
  • UFC
  • MLB
  • Racing
  • Soccer
  • Tennis
  • Golf
  • Boxing
  • Futures
  • eSports

Leagues-wise, BetNow has chosen to focus on the major leagues around the world. You can bet on the English Premier League (soccer), the Mexican Baseball League and the Japanese Baseball league, and so on.

Their league choice is so-so for an American sportsbook but below average compared to sports books from abroad. Most of their target audience (U.S. sports bettors) won’t be complaining.

Live Betting on Betnow

Live betting is offered by most of the best betting sites – and this includes BetNow.

BetNow offers live betting on most of their sports and markets. All their primary sports offer in-play, and most of their secondary sports do, too. There are all kinds of in-play bets available, including three-way-betting, alternate lines, and spreads. You can bet on ‘next point’ in tennis matches, over/under total goals in soccer matches, and so on.

BetNow is very quick at updating their data and odds. However, it will disappoint some bettors that in-play betting isn’t available during overtime.

It’s also worth mentioning that there is usually a delay between the bet being placed and the bet is confirmed. This delay is typically 15 seconds, which is quite a long time compared to most other sites. So this is something you’ll need to bear in mind if you regularly do live in-play betting.

The BetNow Online Casino

Like many of the most reputable sports betting sites, BetNow has an online casino section. Unlike many other websites, though, there’s just one casino here. This means that all card and table games can be found in the “Table Games” section. This will benefit those who aren’t too bothered about a ‘glamorous’ site.

Game variety is pretty good. Among the most popular casino games at BetNow are:

  • Blackjack
  • Craps
  • European Roulette
  • American Roulette
  • French Roulette
  • Casino War
  • One Hand Blackjack
  • Baccarat

We do like the game variety, but some gamblers might worry that it’s a little too focused on blackjack and not enough on other card games. For example, the popular game Rummy is missing. However, many of the games mentioned above are available in a few variants, such as multi-deck and multi-hand.

There are some dice games to play, as well.

Overall, we give BetNow the thumbs up when it comes to their casino. It’s playable, easy to use and a lot of fun. However, we need to mention the fact that the odds are not super competitive. For example, while some casino sites are known for offering blackjack games at odds of 3:2 (very attractive odds), BetNow offers them at 6:5.

On the other hand, the table stakes are good. You can pay $1 for some of the table games, while the maximum stake is $1,000. It’s just a case of finding the tables that suit your budget, as well as which offer the best value odds.

Live Dealers

Live dealer casino at BetNow is powered by ViG Gaming. It looks great, you get to pick between a male or a female dealer, and the stakes are high for a casino site. For example, you can bet as much as $5,000, though this depends on the game.

Live dealer casino games at BetNow include blackjack, European and American roulette, and Baccarat.

Load time is good, as is the stream. During our experience, there were no lags in play, and the picture was crisp and clear – just how you want it.

One thing we need to point out is that not all the dealers are native English speakers, which can sometimes cause an issue.

BetNow Poker

Online gambling is always more fun when there are poker opportunities. When it comes to poker, BetNow does okay compared to rival online sportsbooks. As it’s still a relatively young site, we’ll give it the benefit of the doubt and say that it has some work to do.

The likes of Poker 3, Keep’em Poker and Caribbean Stud poker are all here, but we feel that their video poker selection could be improved. You get Jacks or Better, Joker Poker, Deuces Wild and Aces & Faces, but rivals offer a more comprehensive online gambling selection.

That all said, BetNow covers most of the bases, but this is the bare minimum we expect. Also, there are no free money games, which means you don’t get the chance to train up your skills risk-free.

What we do really like are the video poker graphics at BetNow. The graphics are state-of-the-art stuff that’s a whole better than some of the video pokers we’ve seen at other sites. They’re easy on the eye and create a very pleasing, poker-like atmosphere.

Stakes-wise, you can bet just $0.05 per round, which will suit beginners. Pro players and high rollers, though, may have to look elsewhere as the stakes aren’t too high ($25 per round is the max stake you can place currently).

eSports Betting

BetNow covers eSports, and their coverage is decent. All the popular titles are here, including League of Legends, Dota 2, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Leagues, meanwhile, include King Pro League and the League of Legends World Championship.

The markets are a tad restrictive and cover just money lines, totals, and spread bets. This means you can’t bet on things like winners of maps, the number of headshots, and the number of kills – all types of bets which are available at some other online sportsbooks.

All in all, BetNow’s eSports coverage will seem like a bit of an afterthought to some, but others will be entirely happy with what’s on offer.

Mobile Betting

Mobile betting is available at BetNow, and we liked what we saw. The mobile site/app is super easy to use. Navigation is, in fact, probably better than the desktop version, the buttons are nice and big, and the interface is intuitive and easy to get to grips with.

It can get a tad glitchy at times, and there is a bit of lag. For that reason, we recommend sticking to desktop if you’re into live betting.

Payment Options available on BetNow

BetNow doesn’t do too great on this front. eWallets aren’t accepted, and payment options are limited to Bitcoin, American Express, MasterCard, and Visa.

Bank wire is available but only on huge deposits ($50,000+). Checks are allowed too, but there is a high withdrawal fee.

Bitcoin is the most reliable payment method. It’s fast, convenient, and the minimum deposit is $20 (compared to $25 for credit card). All deposits are instant, but withdrawal times vary from a few hours to a few business days.

Bonuses and Promotions at BetNow

BetNow does well on the bonuses and promotions front. There are several welcome bonuses on offer, as well as a VIP program that gives you access to exclusive perks.

When you first sign up, you’re eligible as a new player to choose from one of two welcome bonuses. The first deposit bonus is a 50% bonus on up to $1,000. The second first deposit bonus is a 25$ bonus on up to $1,000. To release either first deposit bonus, you just need to make an initial direct deposit and enter a bonus code (which you can find on the website).

Each bonus comes with a rollover requirement. The 50% bonus has an 8x rollover requirement, while the 25% bonus has a 3x rollover requirement. As such, we recommend taking the second option if you’re more risk-averse.

As well as the welcome bonus, BetNow also offers a refer-a-friend bonus. This is a 10% cash bonus that has a max payout of $100. That’s not bad at all, and all you need to do is send your friend a link to the site. If your friend clicks the link and creates an account, you get the cash. How much you get exactly depends on how much they deposit when they first sign up.

Also worth mentioning is the BetNow VIP program. This is a loyalty scheme that rewards frequent bettors who deposit anything between $500 and $2,000. For example, if you deposit $500 at any time, BetNow rewards you with a 10% VIP bonus. If you deposit $2,000, you’re rewarded with a 15% VIP bonus.

The only terms and conditions are that each bonus comes with a 3x rollover.

There’s also a horse racing rebate that’s ideal for anyone who regularly bets on the horses. This is an 8% rebate on all your weekly losses. So – for example – if you lost $100 over a week, BetNow will deposit $8 back into your account. We think this is a great deal.

Other promotions include:

  • Thanksgiving Giveaway – Seasonal promo with a combined NFL jackpot of $500,000
  • Weekly NBA content – Chance to win $10,000 during the NBA season each week
  • King of the NFL – Handicap betting promo with $10,000 up for grabs

BetNow FAQ

BetNow is 100% safe and legit, and we have no security concerns whatsoever. All the reviews we’ve read suggest other users are happy with the site, and it is fully licensed in Curacao.

It’s also entirely legal for U.S. bettors.

Really good!

One of the best aspects of BetNow is its 24/7 live chat support. Live chat is ideal for anyone who bets late into the night and who gets a bit anxious if something has gone wrong with their account. All questions are dealt with swiftly, and the team is helpful, polite, and very easy to deal with.

Telephone support is also available, although it’s not clear what the hours are.

Like all reputable betting sites, BetNow reserves the right to cap your accounts by limiting your stakes. However, you can get in touch with customer support to see if they’ll reduce your minimum bet.

As of the time of writing, betting limits are in place, though they vary from sport to sport, as well as from day to day. For example, the most you can stake on an NFL game on Monday is $1,000, but at the weekend, it increases to $10,000. That will frustrate some bettors but will work well for others.

Betnow Review: Final Verdict

We hope you enjoyed our BetNow sportsbook review. BetNow might still be a fairly new online sportsbook, but it’s got enough to ruffle the big boy’s feathers. We like its sports variety, its user interface, and its welcome bonuses and promotions.

There’s a lot to like here for U.S. bettors. If you think it’s the right betting site for you, the next step is to create an account and pick one of the welcome bonuses. If you’re still not sure, why not take a look at our other sportsbook reviews?
